Here is my August Recap and Monthly Favourites August seems to have come around and passed in a blink of an eye for me, and I think it’s down to the fact that my eldest daughter is leaving for university in a week. As a result, my emotions are starting to feel a little all over the place. Excited, happy and sad, all at the same time.
We have been busy with this household change over the last month, planning what she needs. My partner is amazing. He’s helped her sort all of the finance sides created her a budget with different scenarios while juggling work!
It’s surprising how much stuff she needs to take with her! We have had so many parcels delivered for her over the last few days with everything she needs for starting out on her own.
I have been looking for jeans for a while. Unfortunately, I have never found a pair of jeans that were comfortable and fitted me correctly. Instead, I’ve found the odd ones that are soft, but as soon as you put them on, they lose their shape.
That was until I tried a pair of Levis 721 high rise jeans, and I fell in love with them! I didn’t think you could get designer plus size jeans, but you can!
I also bought myself a lovely pink hoodie, a black sweater and two t-shirts in the sale.
This month I have bought myself some new perfumes from The Body Shop
I love The Body Shop! They always have so many amazing deals on fragrances at the minute that are really affordable.
Japanese Cherry Blossom Eau de Toilette This fragrance smells fresh and can be worn every day. I have been coming back to this fragrance for years! The first time I smelt it at the body shop store, I fell in love with its fresh floral scent.

Say Yes! Fragrance Mist bought this in the sale for £6.50. It smells amazingly fresh and zesty – it is infused with rose, lemon, jasmine, and cedarwood notes.
I have been re-watching The Vampire Diaries.
I originally watched The Vampire Diaries when it first came out, and I remember loving the storylines.
I’m currently up to Season 4, and I can’t stop watching it. It’s such a good show!
I have also subscribed to Disney+, and I’m really excited to watch all of the Disney classics and films… I have found Ugly Betty! I have not watched this for years, and I forgot how good it is!
Spending time with my best friend and daughter shopping. August has been a month of being sad at my daughter leaving for university while looking forward to seeing what other exciting things are in store for her.
In the meantime, I have been looking forward to returning back to working a 9-5 after taking a break the past 9 months, so here’s to a fresh start and a good September!
