All the things I’ve been loving | Monthly favourites June 2021

Hello, readers! It’s been a while since my last monthly favourites blog posts, I  hope you are all doing well and enjoying the summer. I have loved some new things lately – from books to beauty bits, fashion items and more. Here is a list of what has been making me happy this month!

Let us kick off this month monthly favourites by talking about audible.

I love listening to audiobooks! I can’t imagine a better way to escape from the world for a few hours. Sometimes, it is even easier than reading because you don’t have any distractions like other people and technology around that might make your attention wander or get caught up in something else. It’s just me sitting on my couch with a drink and headphones plugged into my ears and this fantastic story unfolding before me, all while being whisked away to some far-off place where anything could happen.

I have just finished listening to Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine by Gail Honeyman and loved it so much I have already listened to the audiobook twice! It’s a story about Eleanor, who at first glance seems like an overworked and lonely introvert with little interest in life. But as you get to know her better through this beautifully written novel, you start seeing that she is actually far from fine. She has lived a very sheltered and isolated life, which makes for some touching moments when she finally starts getting out into the world more often and befriends people along the way.

Another book I have listened to this month was The Midnight Library By Matt Haig. Nora Seed finds herself in the Midnight Library, a place where bookshelves go on indefinitely. This book was full of thought-provoking questions about what life would be like if we had altered our decisions. I really enjoyed listening about the different paths Nore could’ve taken in her own story and how those choices affected other people’s lives too! This is an excellent book for anyone who has ever wondered “what-if” when thinking back on their pasts or present realities.

This would make a great film!

The next book in my audible library is The Vine Witch By Luanna G.Smith.

Wednesday Fishing Trips!

There’s nothing like a Wednesday fishing trip. I’m not into the whole fishing thing, but I do enjoy sitting in the sun and listening to an audiobook on my phone. For me, it’s about switching off from work for the day and spending time with Dan and being outdoors. We also get to catch up with Dan’s parents, which makes things even better!”

Beauty Bits

I have been loving new beauty products recently. Olay total effects 7-in-1 cc day cream fair to medium with SPF15 during summer when it’s hot outside I don’t want heavy make-up. And of course, my favourite part is that the product feels great on my skin and leaves me looking natural! I also love The Body Shop camomile cleansing butter. It’s fantastic, I have never used anything like this before, and my skin feels so soft and hydrated afterwards!

This month I have rediscovered Britney Spears Fantasy perfume. It has a lovely, distinctive, sweet floral scent that brings many complimentary comments when I wear it. It also lasts a long time and is perfect for day or evening!

Fashion Items

I have also been loving some new fashion items this month. I have been wearing a lot of dresses recently purchased from YOURS – Which is very new for me, I’ve never been big on dresses, but with the recent heatwave, I have been trying to mix things up a little bit.

Tv

Have you seen Working Mums on Netflix? I have been loving this show! It’s about women who are juggling work and motherhood – I think we can all relate to this the #jugglestruggle

I’m also enjoying the new series of Sexlife! on Netflix at the moment. What TV shows are you currently loving?

If you’re looking for something new to watch, check out my binge-worthy TV & Movies I will never get tired of for some inspiration.
