9 Things I tried and loved in July | Monthly Favourites

I can’t believe we are halfway through the year. How did that happen?!

It’s time for another monthly favourites post! These are the perfect things to try out if you’re on the market for new products.

I’ll be sharing all the things I tried and loved in July with you guys today, and I can’t wait to see what you have loved this month too!

So here is what I loved in July…

Monthly favourites ,Things I have loved in July

I bought a milk frother!

The weather has felt a little cooler these last few days, so I decided to buy the milk frother that has been on my wish list for MONTHS.

Who doesn’t love a hot chocolate or a frothy latte! This one from Amazon has been great for adding to smoothies, and it makes the best hot chocolate, no need for extra whipped cream.

You can check it out here!

The body shop Vitamin E skincare range

Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant and seems to help protect the skin from environmental damage.

The Body Shop Vitamin E skincare range has been a recent discovery of mine, it has helped my dry skin, and it smells nice. This product is worth trying out if you haven’t already!

The products from the range I have been using are:

  • Cleanser
  • Toner
  • Day moisturiser
  • Eye cream
  • Overnight oil

The range can be found on The Body Shop website here.

Dove limited edition summer body wash & deodorant

Dove has a new limited edition summer line. I have tried both the body wash and deodorant. They have a delicate rosewater and aloe vera scent, which is perfect for this time of year!

The Dove limited edition Summer body wash is a favourite of mine because it smells so good,  it’s not too overpowering, it has a lovely delicate fresh scent, the creamy wash leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth. Dove body wash has been one of the best I have tried for my skin, especially in summer when you need that extra bit of hydration. This is great for sensitive skin, too, as its moisturising formula will hydrate your skin.

Some other products that you should check out from Dove are their limited edition winter line. I can confirm the body wash is lovely and smells how you would expect, what I would describe as a Christmassy, cinnamon and vanilla, you know the warm and cosy winter smells, I mean. Perfect for a little self-care pamper

I bet you’re asking where I can buy them? Well, I stumbled across these Dove beauties in Home and Bargains, and I just had to stock up!

My love for pretty dresses continues.

Three new camisole style dresses from Yours Clothing have been added to my forever growing dress collection since I started my self-love journey.

I love these dresses because they are light material and have a loosely fitted shape. The colours are perfect for summer, and you can wear them with sandals or heels!

I did buy another dress this month from Boohoo’s curve range, which I was disappointed that the sizing wasn’t great.  I personally didn’t think the quality was that great either. However, the delivery was quick with Royal mail and the return straight forward.

Shh.. don’t tell my husband I already have my eye on some new bits for autumn …

Songbirds Christy Lefteri Audio Book

This is a beautiful and heart-wrenching book I have been listening to on audible. It tells the story of Nisha, from Sri Lanka, who goes to Cyprus as a maid to send money back to her mother and daughter.

I don’t want to give too much away about the book, but it’s a book that I don’t think I will ever forget. It’s very thought-provoking. I would recommend this book if you’re looking for a new read or listen.

Listening to concentration & study playlist when working

Studies suggest that music can help people stay on task by decreasing boredom and lowering the stress hormone cortisol levels. Listening to concentration and study music whilst working can help boost mood, energy, and cognitive function.

Music with a steady rhythm has been linked to an increase in focus. This is why I always listen to music when doing anything else that requires focus! It’s so calming and soothing but also has a great beat at the same time to get you in that zen mood!

To-list notebook

I know what you’re thinking … why? Use a digital to-do list. Call me old school, but I like to use to-do list notebooks to track tasks I need to get done, things I want to do, and keep them in my bag for when I’m out and about.

I find them really helpful as they are only a couple of inches tall, so perfect for slipping into your bag. It makes it easy to keep track of everything on the go without lugging along an A4 notebook.

They make planning a lot less stressful!

I invested in a new computer chair.

A computer chair is a necessary tool for someone who does a lot of desk work. It’s important to invest in the right chair because it will provide comfort and better ergonomics. It’s also important to choose a chair that doesn’t take up too much space. I love this computer chair because it looks stylish, has some great features and is also comfortable. It was also a really great price!

This chair’s adjustable height and tilt functions make it easy to find the right posture for your body type. For example, I’ve found sitting at your desk for long periods of time can strain your back and shoulders. This chair helps ease the pain!

This chair is available to buy on Amazon here

Alaska Discovery+

Discovery+

I saw an advert that SkyQ customers could try discovery+ for free for 12 months, and I thought, why not! Well, I love it so far, and it’s certainly different to what I usually watch. I have been watching Edge of Alaska, which is very interesting!

The Discovery+ app is easy to use. It has a great variety of shows that fit every mood and taste. So why not give it a go? You can get a free trial Here.

I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading about my favourite things this month. If there’s anything on the list that catches your eye, be sure to give it a try! Also, I would love for you to share with me in the comments below some of your favourites from July as well?
