Tui Magic Life In Fuerteventura

Let’s Never Stop Making Memories Together

During the Easter holidays, we went away on holiday Tui Magic Life In Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands!

We have stayed at a few all-inclusive resorts over the years and found this resort fantastic with lots of activities on offer for the whole family.

For this trip, we decided that we would book two rooms with the older girls being 15 and 16, giving them a little more independence. However, I was slightly concerned, by the what-ifs, what if the rooms are not together, the squabbling, and not to mention the noise I know my girls are capable of making!

With that in mind, soon after booking, my partner emailed the hotel and put in a request for our to be interconnecting or at least adjacent. I was relieved when we arrived to find we did get two rooms on the ground floor next door to one another, thanks Tui! Our bigger girls loved having their space, although it made it difficult to get them up on a morning typical for breakfast, typical teens!

The Resort

The resort is a 24hr all-inclusive and includes lots of activities from archery, tennis, volleyball and mountain biking. There are also many fitness classes running throughout the day, but we didn’t participate in any of the fitness activities during our stay.

The activities are one of the main reasons we chose this resort to give our older girls the chance to go off and do their own thing. They made friends at the teen hang-out, which was excellent, and one evening, there was a neon disco that we let the girls go to alone and gave them a set time to be back in their room. They were both well behaved and did come back when they were both told to. I thought I would have to go looking for them! Lol

I liked this resort’s Tui Magic life app, where you booked on to the activities and booked the speciality restaurants. The app also has a pinboard/community page where other guests can ask questions etc.

I have not come across an app like this anywhere we have been and stayed before.

The free wifi, which lets you connect up to 5 devices per room, and you can get wifi across the whole resort, was a bonus, which my children were pleased with!

The resort is in a secluded location, which was great for us as we didn’t want to go anywhere during our stay as there was plenty to do on-site.

The food is fantastic and plentiful, the staff were friendly, I didn’t have any problems getting seated in the restaurant, and the cleanliness of the whole resort was excellent.

Pools & Snack Bar

There are two main pools at this hotel. There is a small heated family pool. All the poolside activities take place. There are not many sun loungers around this pool, and they fill up quickly with towels! The larger pool is where we spent a lot of time, with plenty of sun loungers, some of them undercover in the shade. This pool was cold! A little too cold for my liking, but that didn’t stop my girls at all!

The pool did warm up in the afternoon, and it was nice to cool off when it was too hot. It was great for us as it was close to our great room. If we chose to go back to the room to freshen up for dinner, we could see the girls from there.

Beach towels are included, which is good, and you can change these every if you need to

The snack bar served food from midday until 5 pm it served burgers/hot dogs chips and a selection of salad cold meats and cheeses with a toasted sandwich maker. Next, help yourself with the ice cream. My youngest daughter loved this!

Jandia Beach

The snack bar can access the beach by a turnstile, and then there are 99 steps leading down to the beach, and the views are amazing! The sand is white with crystal clear water. I found it a little too windy down on the beach to sit and enjoy it with the sand blowing up in your face. Also, I didn’t find it very pleasant hitting the back of my legs.

The tide comes in pretty quickly, and with access to the beach, you could potentially find yourself in trouble and possibly end up getting cut off by the sea. So if you are visiting this hotel, be sure to check out the tide times, which can be found at the reception desk, and you will need your room card to get through the turnstile to get down to the beach and back into the resort.

The weather

Fuerteventura climate is bizarre! I was expecting it to be windy because it was nicknamed the windy island, but I wasn’t expecting it to be as windy as it was.

The gusty wind made it cold at times, and when the sun came out, it was hot! It was mad how quickly it would change from being very cloudy and overcast to beautiful blue skies with no clouds in sight and lovely and warm.

We all enjoyed our week away, but I don’t think it will be on my list of places to return to!
